After moving on from quarterback Matthew Stafford, some may have thought that the Detroit Lions would take a quarterback in the Draft to be the future of their franchise.

However, the team has consistently stated that they are content with Jared Goff, another piece in the Stafford trade, as being their guy under center.

If that is true, the Lions could go many different ways with this pick.

They could look to add some more firepower on offense after losing their top two receivers in Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones in free agency.

However, it appears that the Lions may be more benefited by drafting a playmaker on offense and Micah Parsons could be that guy. With 4.39 speed, Parsons could be a huge asset for the Lions defense in many different ways, ways that they did not have in 2020.

While the Lions’ offense is currently lacking pass catchers, the Lions should pick a playmaker on defense here and look for help later down the line in the draft.
