It has been a while since we have had this much of a clear-cut pick in the NFL Draft. It is all but certain that the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to select Trevor Lawrence out of Clemson with the first overall pick. Despite having Gardner Minshew already on the roster and signing former 49ers backup quarterback, C.J. Beathard, to a contract this offseason, the Jaguars are in desperate need of a face of the franchise under center.

Since he made his debut as a true freshman at Clemson, it has been presumed that Lawrence would be the first player to hear his name called whenever it was that he decided to declare for the Draft.

Don’t expect that to change at all come Draft night.

Lawrence will give the Jaguars a star quarterback that they have been desperate for for decades. With a fresh new outlook on the franchise, we will see if this roster is good enough overall to take the team forward once again.
