The San Francisco 49ers have recently made a trade with the Miami Dolphins for the 3rd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. In return, the Dolphins received the 12th Overall Pick, a first-rounder in 2022, a first-rounder in 2023, and a third-rounder in 2022 from the 49ers. Now is this a good trade for the 49ers who are expected to draft the new face of their franchise this upcoming May? It’s too early to tell. However, when you take a look at the past ten years of teams trading into the top three picks of the draft to snag a quarterback, chances of this being a successful trade for the 49ers does not seem likely.
