Mini review: You are so not invited to my bat mitzvah

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah is a 2023 American teen comedy film directed by Sammi Cohen and written by Alison Peck. The film stars Sunny Sandler, Samantha Lorraine, Sadie Sandler, Adam Sandler, and Jackie Sandler. The film follows best friends Stacy and Lydia who have always wanted to have memorable bat mitzvahs. Things begin to go hilariously wrong, though, as a popular boy and middle school turmoil threaten their friendship and their rite of passage.

The film was released on Netflix on August 11, 2023.

I thought the film was a sweet and funny coming-of-age story. The characters were relatable and the plot was engaging.

Sunny Sandler gave a breakout performance as Stacy. She was charming and believable as a young girl navigating the ups and downs of friendship and romance. Samantha Lorraine was also good as Lydia. The two actresses had great chemistry together.

The supporting cast was also solid. Adam Sandler and Jackie Sandler were witty as Stacy's parents. And Sadie Sandler was a scene-stealer as Stacy's older sister.

Overall, "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah" was a fun and heartwarming film. It's a great choice for families and anyone who enjoys a good coming-of-age story.
