Outlook for the 49ers

History shows that trading up for a quarterback in the top three picks of the draft does not end well. The San Francisco 49ers gave up a ton of draft capital to make this move, and are projected to draft either QB Trey Lance, QB Justin Fields or QB Mac Jones with this pick.

To give up this much draft capital for the THIRD best quarterback prospect in this draft, at best, is a huge risk for the 49ers.

I hope this works out for the 49ers, but if I were GM John Lynch, I would not have made this trade.
