Apparently, the issues with the Green Bay Packers passing on a skill player in the 2020 Draft for quarterback Jordan Love did not have a negative effect on Aaron Rodgers, evident by his 2021 MVP trophy.

Fans are hoping that the Packers’ front office does not make the same mistake this year and finally get some pass catchers to help Rodgers outside of Devante Adams.

Evidently, we did not get the memo, however, as all of us mock them going defense with this pick.

While Aaron Rodger does deserve another top-tier playmaker on offense, he made a case against himself last season, proving that he doesn’t need superstars around him in order to succeed. While it would be nice to draft a wideout with this pick, there are not too many that would be worth a first-round selection.

If the Packers could get their defense up to the production of their offense by picking a player such as linebacker Zaven Collins, a player who can play inside or on the edge, or another corner who could immediately step in front of Kevin King on the depth chart, it would be much more beneficial for Rodgers than reaching on a wide receiver here.
