Snail Mail Albuquerque Review

April 25 saw Lindsey Jordan, who records and performs as Snail Mail, wow a sold out crowd at Sister Bar, Albuquerque. Supported by Water From Your Eyes and DAZY, the 23-year-old star was nothing short of ethereal. With the majority of the setlist coming from the cathartic album, Valentine, Jordan became an open book on stage.

Received well by critics, Snail Mail released their first EP in 2015, entitled Habit. The EP helped establish Jordan’s reputation in the indie rock scene, and after signing with Matador Records in 2017, she released her debut album Lush in 2018 to critical acclaim. Jordan was praised for her honest lyricism and prominent melodies at such a young age, receiving commercial success and bookings at Coachella and Lollapalooza. Named one of the best albums of the year, Valentine was released in 2021.

On stage, Jordan sung about youth, love and self-awareness to a rather intimate venue with a charismatic flair proving she’s the coolest person in the room.
