After selecting a much-needed playmaker for Tua Tagovailoa with the sixth-overall pick earlier in the Draft, the Dolphins are once again on the clock.
While the Dolphins could look to grab a playmaker on the edge like Kwity Paye, it appears as though they would be better off selecting an offensive lineman to protect Tua upfront.
After selecting Austin Jackson in the first round of last year’s Draft, followed by Robert Hunt in the second round, the Dolphins have made some attempts to upgrade the line.
Despite taking two players early last year, it was obvious that the team still wanted to make some moves on the line, evident in their trade for troubled Titans lineman, Isaiah Wilson during the offseason. Since that experiment failed rather quickly, it appears that the Dolphins are once again looking to add pieces to their offensive line.
There are a number of different spots that could be upgraded on the line, it would be interesting to see the Dolphins select a player like Tevin Jenkins out of Oklahoma State.
With a competent line in front of him and another explosive weapon to work with, maybe we will see fans allow Tua some time to show what he can do as opposed to moving on so quickly.
