Coming into the offseason, the Colts had their biggest needs at some of the most important positions in football: quarterback, left tackle, edge rushers, corner and wide receiver.

Now that free agency is behind us and we are heading into Draft territory, the Colts have filled a few of their holes.

They made a trade to acquire Carson Wentz from the Eagles in hopes that he can return to form with head coach Frank Reich.

The Colts were also able to re-sign T.Y. Hilton and Xavier Rhodes to a one-year deal to bring a little bit of stability to the wide receiver and corner rooms, respectively. Despite the moves, the Colts could still be in the market for another option at wide receiver and corner.

However, the other issues on the team are much more glaring.

The Colts need someone to protect Carson Wentz’s blindside after the retirement of Anthony Costanzo this offseason.

Despite this need, the Colts would be better off investing this pick in a quality edge rusher such as Jaelan Phillips out of Miami simply due to the depth at the tackle position in this Draft.
