Poetry - Fresh Air
Sometimes we just need to hit reset. Allow open space to wash over our geared up brains. Whether in nature or simply down the street — don’t underestimate the power of walking. ‘Fresh Air’ - was written to inspire a gentle approach to self care...
By David Boddy
I’ll go for a walk,
Catch some air.
Stretch the legs, climb a hill, duck beneath a canopy.
Find a view.
Sit and stare
Clear my head.
From here,
From in there.
Perhaps I’ll see.
See what?
I don’t know,
Nor care.
A space will fill with a space made clear.
I’ll go for a walk,
It’ll do me good!
In mind, in spirit,
With faith and warm blood.
Come all days end and with values to share,
One stride to the next I’ll march away fear.
Of choices of acts of juggling tiers.
Of tabeling motions with consequences dear.
What do I choose when it all boils down?
All said and done but still, what now?
I’ll go for a walk…
