Here is the full list:
During Smackdown on Friday, August 6h, WWE released a group of NXT talent, ranging from former champions in Fish and the aforementioned Reed to longtime prospect Reeves, as well as talents like Asher Hale and Sterling, who were signed as recently as January 2021.
This coming off of WWE’s major releases last week, in Bray Wyatt and Ric Flair, as well as a handful of major names like Braun Strowman, Aleistar Black, and others last month.
WWE has released talent in every month of 2021, having terminated over 40 wrestlers and a handful of non-wrestling talent as well.
While some of this year’s releases have transitioned to AEW, like previously mentioned Black, Paul Wight, and Andrade, others have popped up in MLW, Impact, and various independent promotions. Some, however, such as Strowman and Buddy Murphy have not wrestled anywhere since being released.
